Hey Gorgies!
We’re back! And talking all things White Coverage, so buckle up for part 4 of our GLYNT mini blog series!
Here we go!
White Hair Coverage...We all need it to be reliable, durable, and phenomenal!
This is where GLYNT Shadows has you covered! (Get it?!)
100% white hair coverage can be achieved when using Shadows Plus and Cream Oxyd 6%. Simple!
There are 3 options, depending on the amount of white hair present, so let’s go through them one by one!
Option A:
For less than 30% white hair, formulate with 1 part fashion shade and 1 part natural/base shade
E.g:
Kirsty has 20% White Hair and wants to achieve a 4.6. Our formula following Option A would be as follows:
20g 4.0+
+
20g 4.6
+
40g 6% / 20Vol
Option B:
For more than 30% white hair, formulate with 1 part fashion shade and 2 parts natural/base shade
E.g:
Kirsty has 100% White Hair and wants to achieve a 4.6. Our formula following Option B would be as follows:
20g 4.0+
+
10g 4.6
+
30g 6% / 20Vol
BOOSTED MIX using Option B:
For Coarse and Resistant white hair, you can follow Option B, but make one part of your natural/base a level darker!
E.g:
Kirsty has 100% White, Coarse, Resistant Hair and wants to achieve a 4.6. Our formula following the Boosted Mix using Option B would be as follows:
10g 3.0+
+
10g 4.0+
+
10g 4.6
+
30g 6% / 20Vol
So, there are our options, how do we identify how much % of white hair our clients have?!
In our GLYNT Shadows Colour Chart, there is a convenient removable swatch designed to identify hair with 30% white and hair with 60% or more white, found on our naturals page. This swatch is a helpful tool for assessing how closely our customers' hair matches, allowing us to determine the best colour option for them!
Join us for our next mini blog series where we’ll be talking all things pastelisation! (You don’t want to miss it!)
Lots of Love from
