GLYNT Shadows How, When & Why?!

We’re back for the next instalment of our GLYNT mini blog series, and we’re talking all things how, when and why you would use Shadows Demi & Shadows Plus!

So, let’s break down how and when you would use Shadows Demi and Shadows Plus...

Starting with Shadows Demi Key Ingredients:

·         Ammonia Free

·        Largely scent-free

·         Contains jojoba oil and conditioning agents, to maintain moisture, improve softness and leave the hair feeling healthy.

Shadows Demi colours are always mixed 1:2 with GLYNT Shadows 2% Energizer, applied to damp hair, and processed for up to 30 minutes.

When your formula contains more Shadows Demi than Shadows Permanent, follow this rule!

When and why would you use Shadows Demi, I hear you ask!

Whenever you want to achieve a demi-permanent colour, whether this is for toning, grey-blending, tone-on-tone or darker results, or colour refreshing! This is also the gentlest option for the hair and scalp, with no lift and will last up to 24 washes!

Now, let’s discuss Shadows Plus Key Ingredients:

·         Soft Scent

·         Contains jojoba oil and conditioning agents, to maintain moisture, improve softness and leave the hair feeling healthy.

Shadows Plus colours (excluding High-Lifts) are mixed 1:1 with GLYNT Cream Oxyd 6%, 9%, or 12%, provide up to 3 levels of lift, are applied to dry hair, and processed for 30-40 minutes.

When your formula contains more Shadows Plus than Shadows Demi, follow this rule!

What about formulating 50/50?!

You can choose when formulating whether to use 2% Energizer if there is no white hair present, Cream Oxyd 6% when white hair coverage is needed, or Cream Oxyd 9% and 12% when lifting is required! You can also decide whether to apply to damp or dry hair, depending on the coverage needed!

The only thing you need to remember...You can’t mix Shadows Plus with 2% Energizer alone; the formula must contain 50% Shadows Demi to create a demi-effect.
