Colour Correction

Explore everything there is to know about Colour Correction, from realistic consultation scenarios and managing clients’ expectations using different Pre-Pigmentation techniques, to taking clients from Light to Dark, dealing with Correcting Banding on the hair and learning ways to remove Bright Colours. This course is designed to cover all the things some stylists dread and equip you with not only techniques, but confidence when doing colour correction.

• Thorough Consultation and managing Client’s expectations.
• Pre-Pigmenting

• Bright Colour removal
• Neutralising and Underlying Pigments
• Taking Client’s from Light to Dark

Duration of Session

A 6-hour session running from 10am-4pm, with lunch and refreshment breaks throughout the day. Lunch will be provided by us! Please make us aware prior to the day of the course if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.

Learning Style

This course is divided into 3 parts; 30% will be active discussions surrounding consultation and strand tests, whilst also exploring client expectations and desires followed by 20% experimenting to remove banding, bright colours, and practice neutralising. Finally, there will be the third part which is 50% practical where you will have the chance to put everything you’ve learnt into practice and use the Light to Dark technique on a Mannequin Head.

Learning Objectives

Colour Correction can vary between stylist and client so therefore this course aims to cover as much as possible to equip you with all the techniques and knowledge you’ll need to correct colours like a boss!

Certification

On completion of the day each attendee will be awarded a Colour Correction Certificate.

What You'll Need

We'll provide you with the relevant Semi, Tinta and Lightening products for this session as well as any necessary colour application tools. The only things you need are your kit, clips electricals and a willingness to learn!
